Farmer's Market -- 09 March 2024 (Chervil Day, 19th of Rainy, Year 232)
2.4 lbs bone-in chicken thighs, a dozen eggs, pink lady apples, a head of garlic, turnips, red beets, 4 lbs of red sweet potatoes, locally grown 'Cypress' brown rice (it was SO good before), a caramel ginger mini-cake for two, two live hyacinths planted in mugs (one pink, one purple), a gruyere-bacon wheel, an almond croissant, a quart of lucuma gelato, 3 quesadilla handpies, 2 bacon cheeseburger handpies, a bakehouse brookie, a traditional chocolate chip cookie stack, a chewy ginger stack, a triple peanut butter stack, and cranberry ginger butter cookies.
It will be Pi Day on Thursday -- I'm probably making a sweet potato pie for work (I may need to buy a gluten-free crust because one member of my department is now GF), and another for my Approximately Pi Day gathering on Sunday.
I have also discovered Mole Day and associated merchandise -- one of my sibling is a chemical engineer and will probably get a pin of a mole in a beaker someday soon.
